Cheap for Honolulu, expensive for us.  Weird people hanging around. The hostel is supposedly only for travelers.  They lied to us about luggage storage when we checked in.  They were also kind of unfriendly, maybe understandable with all the idiots hanging out there.

Beautiful setting overlooking the beach and ocean with the green mountains in the background. There is a 10 $ permit required for camping in the park. It is claimed that it is most of the time sold out and hard to obtain. We did not meet anyone with a permit. There are helicopter raids from rangers trying to catch campers without a permit

Again a 3 US$ per person permit is required.  Wednesdays closed for maintenance. We camped anyway.  Park would be much nice if they cleaned it more often and kept the local drug dealers out.
