Things to See  Visited Brief Description Recommend (10 is best 1 is don't bother)
Lilongwe Y Small city, not much there. 4
Nkhata Bay Y Really nice place to stay along Lake Malawi, there are a few campsites and places to stay to choose from.  One can rent a canoe, or go scuba diving. Scuba lessons are really cheap. Though you need to be aware of Bilharzias which is in Lake Malawi.  That is the reason we did not do any scuba diving. 8

Feeling and Opinions on Malawi

Malawi was a really nice small country, which one does not hear much of before one gets to Africa. Lake Malawi is really beautiful,  it is too bad though that it has Bilharzias, which is not a sickness one wants to contract.  The people are generally really friendly and not yet spoiled from tourism like Kenya and Tanzania. Though we were just a short while in Malawi, we would recommend a visit.  One has a large range of activities to choose from, ranging from scuba diving, hiking, game watching and more.
